Vintage Art Frames Turning into Magnetic Frames

I had many vintage $5 photo frames on the wall but they have worn out and it was time for them to go. However, I had an idea to give them a second life.

The base board of the frame was painted the magnetic primer three times and then coated another layer of yellow paint — 1. I got a can of The Rust-Oleum Specialty 30 oz. Magnetic Primer from Home Depot. The instructions said it needs to apply at least 3 coats of the primer otherwise it won’t perform it’s best. I then painted coated another layer of yellow paint.

The board painted in blue is flipped to get ready for cutting with the knife on the right — 5. When the glue dried, the board was flipped over to cut off the excessive paper.

The board is finished with brown paper and decorative tapes are used to cover the edge of the board. — 6. The decorative tape can decorate the edges of the board.

A craft stapler can do a good job on fastening the frame and the board. — 9. I used stapler to fasten the frame and the board. It was quick and easy.

There are 11 different sizes of frames laying on the floor and were organized in a way. — 11. It is easier to lay out the frames on the floor to plan how to install the frames on the wall.
