15 Years Old Kitchen DIY Renovation of A Manhattan Condo – Part 9: Install Ikea Omlopp Led Countertop Light

I cook a lot and one of my dreams is to create a countertop lighting so I can see better while cutting and prepping food. Ikea had many options and I chose Omlopp for its price and its simplicity. Installing Ikea’s furniture’s were never easy so same as its lighting. It is better to install the cabinets / countertop lighting when installing cabinets but I didn’t have a choice so I needed to be creative.

1. Getting gears ready.
2. I wanted to make sure everything was working before I did all the hard work.
3. Marking the location before hand was very important so I wouldn’t make mistakes.
4. As you can see, I used the tapes every where. I tried to fasten the bracket for the light.
5. I let the wires hanging before that was the last part to finish. Hiding wires were not a fun task!
6. The led lights were lining up and they look PRETTY nice!
7. The wires were long but it is good so I could have enough wires to work on.
8. I hid the wires inside the cabinets so now the lights were tidy and neat.
