15 Years Old Kitchen DIY Renovation of A Manhattan Condo – Part 3 : Get Ready to Sell

We are a single income family so every penny counts. There is no way that I would throw away the working condition cabinets without selling them first. I did some research and found out there is a market for cabinets so I started to get them ready.

The long wall cabinet was laying on the floor and some cabinets are behind it.
1. I started the wall cabinets because they were the longest item. I needed to break them down into sections
Cherry cabinet doors were on the floor and cabinets were all stacked up.
2. Renovating in a 695 sqt condo is not easy. As you can see, there was no space for walking. Stacking up cabinets for making space.
Three wall cabinets were placed on the floor. They were all different sizes.
3. the cabinets were cleaned with baking soda to get rid of grease. I kept all the hardwares to increase the value of the cabinets
The glass doors were all cleaned and hardwares were attached.
4. The glass doors were all cleaned and hardwares were attached.
There were some nail holes on the side of the cabinets.

I posted in two places, Craiglist and Facebook market place. I was surprised that Craiglist was not as popular as facebook market place. I got a lot of responses after I posted on Facebook Market Place. However, many of them were asking if I was selling everything including the base cabinets, counter top and wall cabinets. It was quite shocking that people would buy used countertop! Finally, a realtor spotted my listing and asked if he can see right away. He came by and was really happy about the condition so he not only locked down the deal at $250 dollars but also paid me in full. He then arranged a pick-up after. Everyone was surprised including myself that reselling cabinets was even a thing! Anyways, it was a good outcome after hours of hard work. I could add the income to my budget of my new Ikea kitchen.
